areas of service 2011-12 rotary year

Rotary Clubs operate within areas of service - to their local, national and international communities and to the Club itself. This work is directed by committees appointed by the Club President each Rotary year. Broadly speaking, this organisation exists also at Rotary District, Rotary world area and Rotary International levels. The major service committees are: Club; Community; Foundation; International; and Vocational. Our club also has a dedicated Social Committee - to make absolutely sure we have fun while giving service! Community Service is the Club's link with the community in which we are located. Emphasis is placed on links within the immediate Chislehurst area, where substantial efforts and contributions are made to help local charities and to undertake projects to help those in need.
vocational service	committee chair - Roger May email the Vocational Service committee chair
Vocational Service is the encouragement of the highest possible standards in business and the professions.
international service	committee chair - David Brown email the International Service committee chair
We are a small, but enthusiastic, Club with a strong commitment to helping those less fortunate overseas.

Foundation is Rotary's own charity which allows Rotary Members to make donations or raise funds to support major projects.

The Club Service Committee deals with the general running of the Club and the welfare of our members.
social committee	committee chair - David Biggs email the Social committee chair
The Social team (a sub-committee of Club Service) deals with all the social aspects of the Club. If we can raise some money for charity, then that is an extra bonus!!
